Bases

  • All my bases are non-superwash and nylon-free.
  • I believe strongly that wool is an incredible by-product and that a breed or blend can be sourced for every fabric requirement.
  • The majority of the bases listed are from UK wool and are spun in Yorkshire, Cornwall or Devon, where I live.
  • In an ideal world all skeins would be joinless however it is not possible for the mill or the dyer to reject all skeins with joins.  See this excellent post for more details.
